Do not be late! You must attend all scheduled Recruitment functions. Absence and tardiness may effect your chances of pledging. If you are late, or think you are going to be, please contact a member of the Recruitment Staff so we can make further arrangements.

Keep your options open; visit each chapter you can! On Preference Night we suggest you write down two or three sororities you would potentially like to join in order to increase your chances of receving a bid.

Do not get upset if you see an active sorority member who will not talk to you outside of Recruitment parties. There are silence rules that the members must follow!

As you enter each sorority for a party, you will be asked to leave a tea card with your name on it. Many find that high school name cards work very well, but a piece of paper with your name on it works just as well.

Your Gamma Chi's can be your best friend during Recruitment! Feel free to ask them anything because they are there to help you!

Ask questions! Whether this be asking your Gamma Chi's or the sororities, it shows that you are interested and can keep a conversation going strong!

Do not bring large purses to Recruitment. You are not allowed to take them inside of the houses/suites and have to leave them outside. Most girls find that wristlets are perfect for Recruitment- they hold your tea cards, a lip gloss, and any other small items you might need!
