Registration

  • Registration for Sorority Recruitment is now open!  You can register for recruitment through an online application.  You may register for recruitment until August 12, 2011.

    The following materials are REQUIRED in order to complete your registration:
    1. A completed registration form.
    2. A photo of yourself (hardcopies will not be returned).
    3. Payment of the registration fee ($50 until July 31, 2011, $75 after July 31).  The registration fee includes your t-shirt, guidebook, computer usage, and two meals.  Checks should be made out to Panhellenic Council.  You may use a check, debit card, or credit card when you register online.  Registration fees are non-refundable.
    4. A copy of your transcript showing your final cumulative GPA from the last school you attended.  Please mail it to the Greek Life office address listed below.

    *To be guaranteed for early move-in, registration must be received by July 31. After July 31, registration will be increased to $75*

    Word of advice:  Please fill out the recruitment application as thoroughly and with as much detail as possible!  They will be read :)

    Once you submit an application...

    Silence Rules:

    During the summer:
    1. Silence begins once registration opens on June 1st, 2011.  
    2. Sorority members may not initiate, nor have someone else initiate in their behalf, contact with a potential new member.
    3. If unplanned contact should occur, the sorority member should not engage in any lengthy conversation beyond general greetings with new members.
    4. During summer orientation sessions, members working sessions should have conversations limited to general information about recruitment, but not involving their own affiliations.
    5. No sorority member may speak negatively of any other sorority or its members.
    6. No sorority member that has Facebook may add a woman who may potentially go through recruitment as a friend nor send them messages about recruitment.  All silence rules will apply.

    During recruitment week:
    1. Neither sorority women nor alumnae may phone a potential new member during recruitment week.
    2. If sorority women attend a fraternity party during the week of recruitment where there are potential new members present, all Panhellenic recruitment guidelines will apply.
    3. No potential new member shall visit houses/suites except for recruitment parties.
    4. No favors or gifts may be given to potential new members.
    5. No oral bids may be promised.
    6. A sorority may not influence potential members to break engagements, or cause them to be tardy with another sorority.
    7. All sorority members residing with a potential new member, or having blood sisters participating in recruitment must notify the VP Recruitment.  These sorority members are expected to only discuss general aspects of recruitment and not to influence, question, or persuade the potential member regarding her party choices.
